My family and I were shaken by the sudden passing of our mother, Jayme Whitfield, on September 3, 2020. All the offers of love and support during these past few months have not gone unnoticed. I created The Jayme M. Whitfield Scholarship Fund to help continue our mother’s legacy of giving. My mom was a proud alumna of Howard University, a Historically Black University, and she encouraged me to attend an HBCU as well (FAMU '99). My mom was the most giving person I’ve ever met.

Contributing to this scholarship fund is how your support can really make the biggest impact. With your support, we aim to grow this fund large enough to annually award a $10,000 scholarship to a Black woman attending a Historically Black College/University. One hundred percent of funds raised will be used to establish, legitimize, and fund the scholarship.

Thank you for your support!
